The Cricket Web teams are split into two categories:
1) The actual Cricket Web XI which is the team that plays against the first teams of all other Test playing nations and is generally regarded as the team to aspire to be in.
2) There are also 2 other teams, Cricket Web 'A' and 'B' teams, which compete in the Development League to help the selectors pick up the rising stars and use them in the Cricket Web XI. These two teams play against the 'A' sides of the rest of the Test playing nations and a few other sides thrown in as well.
The actual game is played on a sim (which the name of escapes me currently) and then either Liam (Mr Mxy____) or Reuben (lord_of_darkness) posts the results in the specific threads and then we get averages for batting and bowling etc.
To get involved, I think I am right in saying that you need to go to the main Development League thread at the top and post your details and you will added to the database.
Hope this is a start on how to understand it, but I'm sure one of the people who run the CWBCC will correct me if I'm wrong and can answer further questions. :original:

The games will be played on batting tracks which only assist the bowlers in the first few overs of the innings and slow down toward the end of the innings, possibly making run scoring difficult.
