Pietersen says: "Thank God They're Rubbish"

Kevin Pietersen, dropped on 75, 92, 106, 124 has reported thanked the Cricket Web players for their hospitality. Pietersen was alleged as saying, "Thank God they're rubbish," when Goff dropped him on 124.

England management denies the comment was made, and no official report has been made
by the Cricket Web players to the match referee or either of standing umpires.

Pietersen himself laughed off the allegation and said, "What farfetched trash will they fabricate next... but no comment."
Those English pigs, coming over here and insulting our stadiums and team. You don't see us making fun of hair. Well, at least not to the media.

Cameron Assaulted

Three members of the Barmy Army have been arrested for the assault of Andy Cameron. Cameron was attacked outside the CW Oval earlier this evening. He was restrained and had his hair shaved off, but was not physically harmed.

The three men turned themselves in immediately after.

Cameron 'very p***ed off'

Following the loss of his beautiful (yet still manly) golden hair, an abrasive Andy Cameron was met by the press in the street. When asked about how he felt with his new look, he claimed that he was 'very p***ed off,' and that he wished the Barmy Army would 'show some tact, ffs.'

The Barmy Army should look to the haircuts of their own players, one in particular, before they start dealing to the rest of the globe... :p

'Step Up Or Get Out' - Ablack Criticizes CW Allrounders

"They're holding the team back," said cricket commentator Marcus Ablack about allrounders Liam Camps and Marc Robbins. Speaking candidly on his popular television show ("The Popular Sports Show with Marcus Ablack"), Ablack criticized both players scathingly.

"Neither has performed at standard worthy of an international cricketer and therefore simply should not be there. When there's talent like Callum Thompson and Bryce Cunningham about, why persist with ageing duds?"

In the current series against England, Camps averages 49 with the bat, but has taken his 7 wickets at over 42 each. Robbins' 7 wickets have been cheaper at 34, but he's scored a combined 20 runs in 5 of his 6 innings, and averages 15 overall in the series.

"An allrounder must contribute in both disciplines. At the moment the Cricket Web XI cannot afford to play an allrounder who isn't taking wickets, especially if he averages 15 with the bat," said Ablack, "Where's the 'step out or get out' mentality? How many chances will Cricket Web players get to step up before the Selectors grow some male fortitude and kick them out?"

Bryce Cunningham has served as 12th man for all three Tests in the series to date, and played both tour matches against England. He scored 61 runs in 2 innings, and took 4 wickets at a price of 37 each. There is strong media speculation that either Camps or Robbins will make way for Cunningham's Test debut before the end of the series.

In regards to these comments I have the full backing of my seniors, Liam and Marc, who i have learnt a great deal off during the past few weeks training with the national side. Even though it has always been a goal of mine to play for the CWXI and something I have been forever looking foward too, whether I play in the series or not is up to the selectors and no matter what they do they have my full support.

Robbins speaks out

After some unjustified criticism of Robbins and Camps by Marcus Ablack, Marc Robbins has defended himself and his team-mate:

"When did Ablack last play International Cricket?" said the CW all-rounder before he defended the position of both all-rounders in the Test side:

"Both Liam and I have got into the side on the back of good performances with bat and ball in Dev Cricket, but its worth noting that with the bat we've both been playing in the top order, rather than at 7 or 8 with the tail, so obviously we need some time to get used to a new role."

"Also, by my reckoning we've both produced at least 1 big effort with bat AND ball in the 3 Tests so far, so we're certainly contributing to both aspects of our role"

"I'd say that our games are both suited to being a 4th seamer who bats up the order, rather than having to be a first change bowler who bats in the lower reaches, so it's not that big a shock that we're both taking time to settle in"

"As a whole our batting has been quite disappointing when you look at the pitches we've been given, yet the media seem to be concentrating on the numbers 7 and 8, and not the top 6..."

CWBCC FEEL THE HEAT FROM JIHAD

Local sports commentator and former mental patient Mohammed Jihad blasted the CWBCC over the exclusion of CW Green seamer Nathan Hoy during his radio show 'The Durka Durka Ends Here'.

Speaking passionately on his radio show, he spoke of his 'complete and utter disappointment' in the CWBCC. In a venomous spray, he called the chairman and selector, Liam Camps, "a pot smoking wacko" and then went on to call into question Mr. Camps' ability to be a selector.

"He [Camps] is way past it. He simply does not understand the game of cricket itself at the level that you would expect from a selector. His little obsession with his namesake and second cousin twice removed, Liam Camps, captain of Cricketweb Blue, doesn't help either," the outspoken host spat to viewers across the airwaves.

"How the CWBCC can continually 'exclude' Nathan Hoy from the test team is beyond me. Last season, whilst Mr. Camps is sitting in his bedroom smoking up, Nathan Hoy was bowling his way to 90 wickets at an average of 21.84. Perhaps the marijuana is taking it's effect?"

"It's time that the CWBCC did something. When you have players like Nathan Hoy and Bryce Cunningham at your disposal, you don't need to put up with players underperforming. At the very least, they could shuffle things up a bit. Yet continually, we see Mr. Camps sticking with the same, losing lineup. Great, a win against Sri Lanka and the whole issue is swept aside. It's high time they took some risks, they need to get rid of the 'losing mentality' that's been adopted by CWLand."

He finished the fiery segment with his catchphrase, "The durka durka ends here, Mr. Camps."
