Yes Marc I said that. Conveinantly, you forgot the other half of the post which makes sense of the first part. I don't care about 25 smash matches STATISTICALLY much because stats aren't all that good looking and true for bowlers. You would have to admit that.

In the Dev.League forum, I think it was the final round but if it's not it definatly in there somewhere.

Steds is the new kid on the block. He has so far played 2 25Smash games, which isn't great tuition for a bowler making his way in the game. Of course he's not going to be an instant hit in the 25 over games. Play him in the FC side of things to see what he can do. The sooner the CWBCC, and his captain realize it the better.

The other part of stupidity is the pitches. How on Earth is a young leggie learning his trade going to do well if its seaming everywhere, but not turning at all? The only spinners who have done well are all fairly experienced now, and all the young guns are suffering. It seems that Wrist-Spin is being encouraged everywhere, except at CricketWeb.

In short, unless the above problems are adressed, then CricketWeb could be waiting a long time for the next batch of spinners after Pickup, Halsey and Zebra.

Like on the English, Australian, West Indian and South African pitches? Wrist-spin is being encouraged yes, but the pitches aren't being tailored to cater for it.

Maybe, but at least it's encouraged to an extent. What is done here for it?
We play cricket on typical Australian pitches and allow young legspinners like Halsey to bowl 39+ overs per game on average.

Yeah, dont worry about Halsey, hes just a chronic complainer :P

Spinners all around the world have to deal with different pitch conditions, so should you.

Nuff said.

Yes, Halsey's not doing too badly, nor is Neil, but it's going to be hard for young spinners coming through to do well.

I agree Nnanden, that's Cidins's main point. Really only Zebra and Neil as the established ones who don't bat (while not really being classed an allrounder, Halsey bats a bit).

I think the media has neglected the Greens' recent performances and that they have gone unnoticed...3 wins on the trot...we're climbing up the table. Showing the Reds how to play as a "Team". Us Greens are a very closely knit unit and I doubt I could picture myself moving away from them in the future...I'm a Green through and through...
