No. They are part of a team and accept it is a team game. You can't isolate yourself from a side for personal benefit, especially as captain.

Neither of them shift it, but neither of tem ever wore it either! I understand it's a team game, but I also understand that I was just in there to fill in. And never did I isolate msyelf, it was you who isolated me for special treatment (albeit of the bitter type). I said quite clearly the team underperformed and I myself was part of that and I underperformed myself!

But... there weren't too many regulars and there were a fair few ney players. So obviously the team was understrength and inexperienced.

In what way did I underperform? I made 40 with the bat with the only fault being not going on with my start, and did nothing in teh way of captaing... that star next to my name virtually means squat if I can't decide anything.

As liam said this has always been made clear and being captain you have those rights ... even if it was a temp captaincy.. you have to make your requests clear before the match is being simmed through by email.

Yes but did I do that in that match? I wasn't sure I could do it...

And new and inexperienced players really love to come into a side and be blamed by the experienced captain.

at the end of the day the coach and captin take the blaim when u loose, and the rest of the players get the credit when the team wins. it seems to me that most of this controversy steemed from you cloete. i personally dont think anyone would of said anything at all. you have made this an issue
