Weather Conditions : Short fine breaks but mostly cloudy during the day and clearing after 6 in the evening..
Pitch Conditions : Moisture on surface from overnight drizzle..making the bowl skid early on for about 20 odd overs .. visible grass on the pitch from the curator..making it seam and bounce pretty well.. also the overhead conditions will help the ball swing .. and the conditions will remain like that for most of the day..

Auckland dominated the game well, the oval being their home pitch, and they had a pretty good side that featured a lot of international nz players..We fought hard and its been a long time from the long version of the game ( 4 day ) and no doubt this should be a wakeup call for some people.. Batting first auckland scored 435 on a pitch that was offering a lot of assistance for the fast / medium bowlers, but like in the state championship games auckland with their powerful batting lineup always scored mammoth totals..
Mr Ponting was the best of the CWXI bowlers takin 4-86 of 24 overs and Masterblaster 3-99 of 22 overs
Cwxi scored 208 in their innings..Eyes only top scored with 76
CWxi then followed on scoring a good 342,veteran player and ex captain rich 2001 scored 109, and eyes only played well again scoring a good 65 good contribution from broncoman scoring 62 of 56 balls..
Auckland then won at 118/3- Mr Ponting taking all 3 wickets , ending up at 7 wickets in the match good performance..
