Durham made hard work of it at the death, but got there in the end hitting a 6 and a 4 off the last two balls to win by two wickets.

Chasing 325 Lancs should be pretty embarrassed

Openers cashing in big time so far in 50 over stuff. Lyth, Lumb, Wessells, Duckett, Bell-Drummond, Dent, Hain.

This weather, (as if it needs proving) just reinforces the point that our T20 blast despite the critics is rightly structured. There is no time in this country that the conditions can even be remotely relied on, "flaming June" indeed. Has to be spread out, which means a lot of counties to play, so they'll benefit in our pockets of good weather. Imagine a concentrated hyped 4 weeks, paying masses to all the biggest names in the game, pouring money in big ad campaigns, and for it to piss down for much of it. Financial Armageddon.

Sam Curran and Ansari seriously impressive young players. Tom Curran looks like he could be a fairly solid player as well long term.

Durham top order an absolute shower again. Just woeful. One of the worst ever fielded.

Hope Ansari is over his injuries. Be a more than useful addition to the squad in the winter if fit enough in all forms. As for the Curran's they will probably be with Loins squad as I doubt they will be needed on those tours unless we rest a few in Bangladesh which would be a risky proposition.

Just watching the replay now. Man I hate this Worcester wicket. I know it's rained but it's so slow. Russell bowling high 80s and the ball going through so slowly.

It's not like it rains nonstop for a week. There'll be minimal difference between a 4 week tournament and one that drags on for months in terms of weather.

But you know it's County Cricket. Why imagine a big tournament that concentrates the talent when you can plod on with the same nonsense of swapping between formats every 5 minutes and paying a fortune to foreigner stars to get them for 3-4 matches in over a month and miss all the rest.

really that's kinda not true on any front. We get pockets of good and beastly weather, with no way to know when that'll happen.

Duckett opening, Clarke and Bairstow middle order, Buttler or Billings keeping. Could get 4 keepers in the one test side. Sam Curran looks like he could make a genuine allrounder in time as well, so you could have him and Stokes in that regards.
