Yeah singles and twos need to be taken all the time. That's a given.Out of the Lankans' 307, as many as 165 were scored in ones, twos and threes. Singles are valuable, and must be pinched regularly, to release the pressure to go over the top.
I'll add to this. I think Nayar can make the ODI team but have never been a fan of bits and pieces cricketers. Robin Singh was dire (I know he has a cult following among some but whatever).I don't rate Nayar.
who said it was out of it, esp w/ 8 wkts in hand there is always a chance :P .... But SL favs atmDravid! Awesome six. India still very much in it.
Nayar has a lot going in favour of him being a regular in ODIs- at least until Irfan and Yusuf find form.I'll add to this. I think Nayar can make the ODI team but have never been a fan of bits and pieces cricketers. Robin Singh was dire (I know he has a cult following among some but whatever).
The more I look at Raina, the less I am convinced about him as a player. What a crap way to get out - a soft daft off a medium pacer. Now Raina's gone for zero.
There's a link here- when they bowl a lot of overs, they don't score too many runs. The sooner the captain stops overbowling them, the better. Yuvraj was almost a regular bowler in New Zealand and his figures suffered- both batting and bowling. They should give it a thought.
That's pressure. An ever-increasing asking rate can get mistakes out of even the best. He's also done three overs, so that may have been a factor. Making them bowl so often may confuse them, even indirectly. The more I look at Raina, the less I am convinced about him as a player. What a crap way to get out - a soft daft off a medium pacer.
