Good stuff by Sri Lanka. Australia's batting form is troubling although with Clarke at the crease, Australia still could possibly get a big score.

Haha. Bet you wouldn't be saying that if Australia weren't on the receiving end.
8-)

No, I just don't like watching terribly slow ODI batting, no matter who is bowling/batting. Sure I like to see things competitive, but not to the point where it's a drag. Wouldn't mind seeing a full 100 overs as well, which I doubt there is going to be at this stage.

Geez Aussies in a bit of a hole now.

@Clapo if you're not liking this match switch over to ESPN. The India-Windies kids are playing some pretty good stuff right now.

Deck looks a bit sticky. Just not coming on, not surprised there's been wickets. Gilchrist's shot would have been belted had it been on an even slightly quicker deck I reckon. 150 par and if Australia get 180, easy win. Key bowler for the Aussies will be Nathan Bracken because he has that ability to take the pace off the ball that might result in some average shots.

Don't have austar, and despite the direness of the rest of our batting, I love watching Clarke bat, just oooooooozes class. The rest of the batsmen in this series could learn from him & Sanga.

What's up with the Aussie pitches this summer? Most appear to be so low and slow and not good for batting.

IPL is ruining cricket, and not even a ball has been bowled in anger.

It's because, as always happens when Labor is new to government, the drought has broken and the pitches aren't the dry belters which they normally are when the coalition is in power. Hence, we now have a more interesting contest between bat and ball, instead of a slog fest.

How good is Clarke to spin? Was totally beaten by the doosra then next ball, steps back right onto his stumps and punches a ball which spun back into about leg-stump through the off-side. Ballsy.

Liking the look of this partnership so far. Lawry's Bradman reference was hilarious though.

Clarkes batting this series is proof enough for me that Clarke is the 2nd best ODI batsmen in the Australian lineup after Ponting (when he's not in shocking form, obviously).

Superb partnership considering the position of the match. Didn't think we'd crack the 100 tbh.

Those Commonwealth Bank ads are great btw.
