All Indians. Most of the Aussie fans had left. Plenty of Indians left to celebrate their wonderful victory, but was poor form to boo Ponting.
I don't think they should have booed Bracken. Ponting, on the other hand.......

With that said, a decent victory, I suppose. Still the best thing to come out of today is that the tour is over. I hope we don't see another like it.

oh thats pretty bad
man that tour will be so stressful

thought the ch 9 commentators were really nice about the indians actually.. especially bill lawry and stuff..
Get the feeling Aus might threaten to quit the series half-way as well.
There's going to be alot of abuse directed towards the aussie players on and off the field no doubt. Lets see how they handle themselves... not going to be easy. I don't advocate it but you just know its going to happen.
It might actually unite Aus more but just hope the crowds don't take things too far.

Look, I'm not Ponting's biggest fan, reckon he goes over the top most of the time, but I think he handled it really well. He was gracious in defeat and praised the Indians. I know there's been a lot of feeling this summer, but it just made the Indian fans look very poor and petty.

a gr8 win for Ind .... after the victory in the 85/86 Champions Trophy if i remember the name correctly, in Melbourne, this is Ind's first victory in an ODI series in OZ

Yday, I was confident that Ind would pick the trophy. the bowlers were doing a superb job and Sachin came back to 'match-winning' form in Sydney. That knock against SL in the last league game got him into his groove. with that it was always going to be difficult to beat Ind .... and not to forget that the guys were all pumped up .... in the end, it's fair to say that the better team won

Glory to Sachin and the young Indian team

Cameraman did well to only get vision of backside of the streaker.
I saw a little bit of **** TBH.

Looks like Hopes has earnt a lot of respect from Aussie fans this tour. Seems to me he'll become the next big 'cult' player now that the Huss is firmly entrenched in all sides and has been around the Aussie set up for a while.

Exactly. Ponting's conduct throughout the ODI series was perfect. It was ridiculous to boo him and especially Bracken who has done nothing but play superb cricket all tournament.

Can't wait to see the Hayden/Hopes opening partnership tbh. Should be good fun.

Yeah. Ponting was disgracful during the test series, but was much better during the ODI series. Bracken definitely didn't deserve to get booed.

is it just me or are Indian fans more concerned about their team winning than fans of Aussie cricket who just want a good contest as well (not a bad thing necessarily btw)... i think that makes em really hungry and so passionate..and yea, a bit over the top sometimes

no doubt that M word will be talked about again *yawn
dont think Aussies will pull out though... pride ourselves on sticking through thick and thin i recn and crowd factor wont be a problem...
i do fear for Punter Symo and Haydos though
but as long as they get RUNS then they WILL be fine.... gotta let the bat do the talking.... and the results on the board

If the Aussies do withdraw..........they will hear no end of "Whinger" comments.......specially after all that was printed about the 'rumor' regarding BCCI threatening to withdraw.

Ponting, Symonds and Hayden would be advised to hire bodyguards during IPL itself. Plenty of idiots here would like to have a last word on the matter........would not like a Monica Seles type incident here. Or the BCCI should escalate security to Type-Z.

If no one flares the situation up again the crowds wont be too bad. People have relatively short memories and they're not going to get fired up for something that happened months ago. I mean everyone said the Australian crowds would 'return the favour' to India after issues in the ODI series, but as far as I know it didn't happen pre-Sydney controversy. Unless someone decides to flare things up, you might have some of the usual idiots in the crowd doing their usual thing, but it wont be as grave a situation as people are predicting, imo.

Its going to be abuse another magnitude.
Aus team hardly got abused until the last ODI series..... people in India use to love the aussie team but same is not true anymore. Evryone i used to ask and they used to love the aussie team.... they were their favourites after India.

Nope.......the one word you will not hear will be 'monkey'........but besides that you will hear every other abuse in the dictionary thrown at Symonds/Hayden/Ponting(from the crowd that is).
