Nick Cummins revealed negotiations with top Sri Lankan and English players were almost over and key signings would be announced next month, to complement the coup acquisition of Mike Hussey in July. It is believed David Warner will be on the roster but there has been no official announcement. English batsman Eoin Morgan and Sri Lankan all-rounder Sachithra Senanayake are also set to suit up for the Thunder.

When I saw the headline, I thought it had something to do with the Melbourne Stars...

Mascarenhas will play as a local,since he is not playing English cricket anymore,and will use his Aussie passport.
