In many ways it's just as well, the longer he stays in the longer he denies us seeing the Next Big Thing in Australian cricket (Cooper Connelly)

54 runs in 15 games and no wickets is genuinely impressive in a bizarre sort of way. Just a black hole of a cricketer who has somehow gotten games
They way that after seven games of doing nearly othing further down the order Victoria decided to give him a Shield match as opener was just amazing.

When was the last time you recall the Stars doing something that involved being wise.

The Stars suck and suck hard. Always have. Hands up if you think they should be discarded from the comp for all time

I wonder which franchise has been the dumbest? The Stars for their tactics? The Gades for their squad selections? (though they look ok this year) The Canes for their clown batting? Heat for their reliance on Lynnsanity? Thunder for finding ways to under perform? Strong competition, this.

It has to be the Stars by miles. The Canes have been less successful but the Stars had the most stacked team in the competition in the early years and they hilariously just couldn't win a knockout game (even before we get to the infamous choke in the final)

Everyone that isn't the Scorchers or the Sixers.

Though in terms of sheer hilarity it's almost impossible to beat the Stars.

Well the Thunder take the prize for the most consistently bad team.

Stars 3 votes (I pick them too) and I'll take SF's post as a vote for Thunder.

Somehow the Strikers escape criticism here. They've never really excelled but I don't recall them being so consistently bad as some other franchises.

They won one though. Granted that was basically all down to Khawaja turning into an absolute god for one summer, but still.
Yeah, but they've gone 8 8 8 7 1 8 6 6 5 3 3 3 4 8. That's a lot of wooden spoons.

Don't forget they got bowled out for 15 as well.

The Stars have tended to be more middle of the road, with a notable tendency to underperform in the early years despite having lots of big names. I'd generally put the Gades as being worse, even though like the Thunder they somehow managed to cadge a title.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if he's picked in the squad for the SL tour.
I think the fact that they made sure to get him to play one of the Aus A games despite being in the white ball squad at the same time suggests they've been interested in him for SL. Don't know if the injury break sets that back at all though.
