Did he drop two, or was one of them someone else? Been hard to keep track this game.
I haven't watched the whole innings, but I only saw him drop Tim David off Thornton.

David was on 12 at the time, I think. Took 25 off the next over (which Overton bowled).

Lloyd pope also just kind of watched one fall infront of him. Probably not a chance but he also didn't try, like at all, so hard to tell.
Pope's not a very fast mover, and I think at least some fielders go for fielding it cleanly over diving for a chance they know they can't make and conceding four.

Looking at the ladder currently, I think the Coffs Harbour washout has largely put paid to the Renegades' chances. If Sydney won, which I consider more likely than not, they'd be level with Brisbane instead of one point behind.

With the vagaries in the scheduling making it feel like half the matches I watch involve Adelaide, I've noticed that in their past couple of matches Thornton seems to have stopped swinging the ball out. I think this makes him less dangerous as he doesn't have many variations.
