Reports are NZ has been shelling catches in tests so to convince CA to combine the Big Bash with the Super Smash to create a Monster Mash.

Canberra seem pretty organised for 2026/27 the the Melbourne and Sydney franchises will be dead against it. I can see their argument in a way given Vic and NSW are the only states that have their talent split in two, and Canberra will be based between them as well so they'd effectively have to source five teams between them. I still think it should happen - if anything it should have happened before the we decided to put two teams on top of each other in Melbourne.

I heard a rumour a year or so ago that WA and one of the IPL franchises were talking to each other about jointly forming a franchise in Singapore. Tim David captain no doubt.
