So Bartlett taking a single off the last ball of the 19th turned out well.

anyway, the team that actually applies half a brain to strike management in that situation will just look like geniuses compared to everyone else. happens so often and it's so regularly mishandled

I have some empathy for players here because you're overriding something which is for 90% of the game an instinctive response and forcing them to do an expected runs calculation on the fly. They should be following a strike management lookup table created by the analyst.

Although when it's a tailender and a set top order player on 50+ they should probably be able to figure that one out

Yeah it's a team problem first and foremost, Most teams plan every other aspect of T20s these days but not this for some reason.

Too true, if we were being honest a complete walkover for the good guys

Heat showing some batting depth, going to need it later in the campaign. Munro a tad disappointing, but will no doubt turn in some big ones as the season progresses.

after everything that he's been through it was great to see mcsweeney with a big smile on his face in the postgame. deserved!
Its the first time I've seen him bat (for some reason I never got to see him in tests - partially related to the amount of time he batted) and he looked to have a good technique. Some of the drives between mod on and mid wicket looked classy.
