Also, what's with the wide calling this season? We have wides being called when they're well inside the lines, while it seems impossible to be called for height.

Have I got this right? Brisbane Heat only have a 17 man squad but Khawaja, McSweeney and Labuschagne are on Test duty, Neser is still injured and Vidler hasn't played any cricket this season so is even fit to bowl?
Remaining 12 man squad seems crazy small, especially with Bartlett and Johnson being CA injury managed
Edit: just read Johnson is out injured until after Xmas and Munro is also injured. They've just signed Daniel Drew from SA and added Tom Whitney to the squad

Yeah while he doesn't have a cricketing background (it's also clear Aussie rules is more his go, though admittedly I'm letting where I've heard him far more influence me), neither does Howard. And in terms of being a pure play-by-play commentator, he's up there with Whateley as far as Australian commentators go.
Could be a rights issue? I've heard him do stuff for SEN before.
