A rusty Hasnain was a real quality pick up, especially as he's only so-so when in rhythm. He's better when he keeps his arm more upright rather than going more roundarm - it's not like there's reverse swing out there. That was a shocking over.

It's not saying a lot, but Garton has turned out to be their best seamer.

The opening powerplay from Konstas/Warner has proven to be the big issue.

Hobart's the best ground in the country for the ball hit onto the roof or right out of it, with the square boundaries being relatively short and the stands not as deep as Adelaide.

Pretty selfish knock from Warner has to be said. Kept the Thunder from going really big and put the pressure on everyone around him to take extra risks

The fact the Thunder hit zero sixes to Hobart's nine may be an indicator their batting approach was suboptimal.

Although in fairness, the Thunder weren't facing Hasnain and Agar.

What's the relative strength between the BBL and the SA tournament now that IPL teams are involved in SA?

Some excellent overseas players this year - Boult, Rashid Khan, Theekshana, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Shamar Joseph, many English guys who're at international level or thereabouts. Still a few weeks of overlap between both tournaments.

There was a much stronger English involvement in SA last year, many of the big names are in India this time.

Warner's innings was the sort of innings which sort of locks in a decisive but not embarrassing loss.
