Stokes is genuinely unique for it IMO and it's clearly something he does on his own initiative rather than being actual planned tactic. It has to be team-wide for it to really work IMO; and the final overs are just the low-hanging fruit, it's when it starts to be adopted from overs 15 onwards that things will get interesting.OK, thought you meant earlier. Seen it done a little bit in chases, haven't we? Ben Stokes turning down runs in the 2019 World Cup final being a memorable one, and I seem to remember a sub-continent batsman being criticised for doing similar in what I want to say was an ODI, but could be wrong.
