Not many bowlers can make up for losing 20km in pace let alone become better
I saw in an interview that he doesn't expect to be around for much longer. Hopefully just an off the cuff remark as he's only 33 and the bowline line up still needs a leader with all the new young guys coming through

BD did get blown away in 2 days at home vs Pak & lost a home series to SL. So Windies drawing 1-1 against Pak last year was much bigger achievement I think.

Jason Holder's match winning 5 for vs Pak in Sharjah is one of the finest efforts I have seen from a Windies bowler in last 7-8 years. That victory I felt started the resurgence of West Indian cricket.

A tier below I think holder is in the tier of Collins ,Collymore Jerome Taylor etc I believe he benefited from improvement in test match pitches in westindies in last 5 years.

It has been an interesting series in that Bangladesh's seamers have really impressed me, even without Taskin. They have been accurate (sometimes relentlessly so) and skillful. That is a huge improvement compared to their previous tours. To me their pacers have been more impressive than England's when they toured.
Unfortunately, the batting does not appear to have improved at all and seems completely reliant on a magic knock from one of Tamim, Das or Shakib, which didn't happen. Scarily, I don't think our bowlers have been really on it and yet they still bundled them out every time. For example, Jayden Seales has bowled very averagely by his standards and yet has still taken wickets.

R.e Holder and Roach and where they sit in terms of Windies pacers, it's an interesting debate.
Kemar would be in my top 10, but probably 9th or 10th. His home record is unreal and as has been pointed out, he had to reinvent himself from 150kph plus speed freak to line and length swing and seam merchant, which is not easy for someone under 5 foot 10. Also the fact that he has led a resurgance in West Indian pace bowling to the point where we can actually win test matches semi-regularly is a big tick on his record.
What stops him from going any higher is his record with the kookaburra ball, which is very bad. At the moment he is a home track bully with the odd excellent away performance mixed in, but all too rarely. This isn't all his fault due to his injury record, but he can't go any higher up that list until he wins a few more tests away from home for his side.

Why? Because Holder and Roach are wayyy too reliant on home conditions for me. Good servants for WI cricket but need to do better outside WI. Those ranked above them were very good to great home and away.

Agreed, particularly Roach. Holder has won us tests away from home tbf, but could still do better. But Roach's numbers away from home are like Jimmy Anderson before he reached his late 20's. Jimmy improved that, hopefully Kemar can as well in the few years he hopefully has left.

Fair enough though Garner and MH are closer to MM and Curtly then Roberts and Walsh for me but this works too.

Good win, can't complain. The pacers did their job, Jayden looked like he refound his form (average of 16 despite not bowling as well as he can) and Alzarri found the enforcer role really suited him.
Batting wise Kraigg is carrying in his form, Kyle looked back to his bat and Blackwood has had a batting brain transplant, long may it continue. John Campbell did enough to keep his spot for now.
Bonner's form is a concern, I worry that he will be found out in Australia, he really struggles against the bounce.
A word for Bangladesh though, their bowlers really impressed me, it was refreshing to see such a disciplined and skillful group of seamers. They just need to learn to bat against the moving ball.
I'm also sure they will have the last laugh in the white ball matches.
