*Official* Bangladesh Tour of West Indies (& Guyana) 2022

I spot a hint of reverse swing from Ebadot.
Add that to the variable bounce on offer and it then makes it much more tricky for these two batsmen.
Is the pitch here likely to get better or worse for batting as the match goes on?
From your reports so far it seems quite tricky given it's only day 2.

As a WI follower what's your thoughts on Jayden Seales?
Saw him bowl a few month ago for the first time and was really impressed.
Is he the real deal?

The first ball bowled today was pitched on a good length and it kept low, rolling to the keeper. It will get difficult for the batsmen as this match wears on.

We need a substantial lead.
The good news is we made 234 on this deck, so you can waltz your way to a substantial lead

Hmm someone explain this Reifer at 3 move to me? I understand that looking at FC averages in the West Indies isn't always the best judge of a batters potential but he doesn't seem to have the game of a top order player. Is he a place holder for Jason Holder and they just stuck him at 3 because he is in a good run of form?

Also,it's good for the Windies that he is being patient but I miss Blackwood just trying to hack everything to the boundary!

Haha on the contrary I've entrenched myself into the faster scoring = generally better camp on here as of late but there's something quite novel and entertaining about a dour Blackwood.

Lemme have a go at this…when he was playing for Guyana Jaguars, he batted in the 5-7 positions…he was used mostly as a bowling all-rounder.

Fast forward to this year, he’s batted more at the top of the order for the Barbados Pride. Oftentimes batting with Kraigg, who was obviously the captain.
He also made a 100 against England playing for the President’s XI…so Phil Simmons and Desmond Haynes probably consider him a Kallis or something lol
I do think that Kraigg convinced the team management that he wanted Reifer at 3

A top session for us. Blackwood’s patience and comfortable playing the second fiddle to Mayers. I like this pairing.

The lead is not that big. The Tigers can still pounce on us after the break.

I know it's only Bangladesh, but the stands being almost completely empty on a Sunday is a bit grim isn't it? Do the St Lucia locals turn up for tests against bigger teams?

I never see more than a smattering of locals at any of the grounds really.

Most people went to church this morning and after that head to the beach. I don’t blame them.

As Chronixx song goes,

Who knows? Who knows? Who knows? Who knows?
I just go where the trade winds blows
Sending love to my friends and foes
And I suppose
I'm pleased
To be chilling in the West Indies (How you mean?)
Jah provide all my wants and needs
I got the sunshine, rivers and trees
Green leaves, ooh yeah

Josh batting with the same sluggishness he batted with on his way to a maiden century.

I’m gonna be critical and say that he needs to the strike over a bit more
