*Official* Bangladesh in England

The boy definitely has something. Gets excellent bounce and carry and swings it a little when he pitches it up. Although that comes with the proviso that if you can't swing it in overcast conditions in England in May you aren't ever going to.

If he gains a yard he could be world class.

He's not exactly straight though, bit of movement off the pitch. He could potentially be one of those bowlers who finds seam when no one else manages to.

Needs to add a bit more control as well,, but hey, the guy's taken 9 on his home debut, Bangas or not he deserves praise.

Looks like he's determined to get em both too if his catching off Jimmeh's anything to go by.

Nah, stiff catch, but got both hands to it.

Madmudullah looks very unconvincing against the bowling of Anderson and Bresnan. Doesn't look comfortable against the bounce or movement at all.

I just don't see Bresnan lasting much longer in this side. Fine for 20/odi's but not tests. Sky are talking up either Shazad or Saj for OT (Given that Broad will not be playing) Any thoughts?

My thoughts are that we should pick Broad
Mine too. But I don't see that happening, the selectors seem intent on maintaining this ridiculous rotation system. These guys don't play County Cricket, they have more than enough time off, so don't need to be rotated. If I was in Broad's position I'd be rightly miffed at being dropped for this series. He isn't injured, is one of our better bowlers, so should play. Don't agree with the rotation policy at all.

Meh. Bowled alright, still not a fan of him or the way he jumps out wide of the crease, and don't want him to play at Old Trafford.

Don't agree that he was our best bowler in Bangladesh either. Broad was the pick of the bowlers for me, but generally his hard work went undeserved.

Bresnan was the best pace bowler in Bangladesh.Broad was doing a Sidebottom,a brilliant opening spell then tripe for the rest of the innings as he wasn't fit.

In this game Bresnan hasn't bowled well but got 4 wkts,Jimmy has been the same but got 5.I don't see anybody slagging off Jimmy for yet another lacklustre performance in an England shirt, just everyone piling in on Bresnan.

I think they will keep the same side for OT,maybe Shahzad in for Bresnan, hope to christ it isn't Mahmood as he is the worst bowler i have ever seen play for England and that includes Ed Giddins and Jimmy Ormond too.Mahmood is the biggest pie thrower we have used and we keep going back to him.Give Shahzad a chance or stick with Bresnan as it may have just been a case of struggling to adjust after the 20/20.If he is poor at OT again then you can discard him permanantly.
