*Official* Bangladesh in England

I agree, I think they'd still be given a few beatings against top nations 'A' teams, but it would certainly make for a more compelling spectacle. Even at home, in their own conditions, they should still be fed sides such as 'A' teams, or some of the weaker nations, till they improve both technically, mentally, and learn how to win.
Nah I think they should still play everyone at home. Whilst they've still botched opportunities they've come close to big scalps at home. They need be have a chance to show improvement and competitiveness. This, unlike these away series, are good for the Bangladesh supporters and interest. It gives them plenty of time to work on their technique, experience other conditions whilst not having their confidence smashed on a regular basis.

I feel like this is the way to go with future Test prospects like Ireland for instance. These sorts of teams can be competitive in their own back yard. They need the high-profile matches to generate interest and for the next generation of cricketers.

2nd Test century for Jonathan Trott. Been a fantastic innings, and his best knock in an England shirt since The Oval. Hopefully he'll make it a big one.
Agree with that,he has looked in total control all the way through.Been a very good innings whoever the opposition are.

Didn't even get that many.Knew he would fail today though.
Yep

Whacked a 4 through covers off one of his first balls when he was nowhere near the pitch with basically no foot movement - looked nice but could've gone anywhere and you got the feeling he wouldnt be around long

Take out 2005 and his record against Australia really isn't that dodgy. He played nicely in the last series, his 72 in the first innings at The Oval was as-important as Trott's century I think.

31.4 since the 2005 ashes.Still not very good.

I rate Bell myself and think he will come good but i could see why the Aussies wouldn't and would love him in our side.

It's not great, but it's not as bad a record as many like to claim.

I don't get how people can dislike Bell either. Was fair enough when he was batting awfully and continually given chances by the selectors, but recently he's been in good form, played some vital innings and proven he does have some bottle. He doesn't come across as arrogant either, so I'm struggling to work out how people can dislike the guy. Comes across as a sound lad, is scoring runs and when playing well is one of the better players to watch in World Cricket AFAIC.

With the exception of Pietersen, it stands up fine in comparison to every other England batsman to have played Australia since 2005.

The only difference between Bell and Collingwood or Strauss is that Bell hasn't had that one big innings to pad out his average. No England batsman has passed 50 against Australia post 05 more than Bell has.
