Well you had it easy in your last summer with the West Indies and Pakistan so you know all about it.Thing is you almost messed it up on a couple of occasions.
Haha, was referring to the fact we haven't seen any cricket aside from Twenty20 in ages, but carry on...

50 up for Trott. Been a nice innings to watch, which has been a real change from his last couple of series, when dire didn't even begin to sum him up. Hopefully he'll find some real form in this series, take that into the Pakistan series and cement his place at Number 3. The last thing we need is to go to Australia with an unproven Number 3 again. Keep going Trotty!

Will be fine if one of these gets out so we can watch KP, at least bloody Colly is not coming in at 5.
You not do anything other than constantly complain?

Both scoring at 60 in the first morning of a test match. What exactly is wrong with that?

Nothing at all and Trott has played very nicely but if we are not going to have much of a contest then I there are other batsman that I would rather watch.

50 up for Strauss. Was slightly worried about his form coming into the game, but he's looked in good knick here. Wouldn't mind it if he got out fairly soon though, fancy seeing a nice bit of KP this afternoon.

England continue on, both Strauss and Trott looking comfortable. It is understandable to drift towards thinking of KP coming in next and how entertaining a mood he could be in this afternoon, but I do hope these two currently batting fill their boots. Strauss, as you say, has shown little in the way of good form coming into this game so time in the middle is ideal for him to get back into the groove.

Trott I would like to see really taking control out there as his innings progresses. Thought he looked commanding when he first came to the crease, in the way Ponting goes about his business at number 3, and has looked in no trouble since, picking the bowling off. Against this attack hope he improves his figures with a dominant knock.

KP will probably get out after a flashy 20 odd anyway.I'd rather see these two bat on and on and get big hundreds. We need other players than just KP and Strauss to get big runs so Trott doing it will be good for the team.

Well, I can see his point. I'm quite excited to have some Test Cricket around, but this is not really what we want to see, do we? This test has Innings Defeat wriiten all over it at lunch on day 1..............

Without wanting to write Bangladesh off prematurely, they simply should not be mixing on a consistent basis with the likes of England, due to the gulf in quality, that stands for about 5 or 6 other nations they shouldn't be playing. It cannot be doing them any good stumbling from mauling to mauling, yes it's good the ICC does all they can to help these sides develop into competent Test teams, but they have no idea how to win a Test, and won't do until they can play against teams they have a better than even chance of beating.

Personally I don't think they should be playing away Test series. By all means have tours where they play counties, A teams and so on. But they simply aren't good enough to be playing Test series away. From a general point of view series like these clog up the schedule, produce minimal revenue or interest and it isn't much of a learning experience either because they're such one-sided games.

I agree, I think they'd still be given a few beatings against top nations 'A' teams, but it would certainly make for a more compelling spectacle. Even at home, in their own conditions, they should still be fed sides such as 'A' teams, or some of the weaker nations, till they improve both technically, mentally, and learn how to win.

2nd Test century for Jonathan Trott. Been a fantastic innings, and his best knock in an England shirt since The Oval. Hopefully he'll make it a big one.
