Henriques is a shoe in. He's been performing well with the bat for Aus A, so I can't see how NSW wouldn't pick him.

Assuming Hughes, Katich, Clarke, Clark, Lee and Hauritz are unavailable..

1 P Jaques
2 D Warner -why not?
3 P Forrest
4 U Khawaja
5 D Thornley
6 M Henriques
7 D Smith - not fussed on the keeper
8 B Casson
9 M Cameron
10 B ****ley
11 D Bollinger

Khawaja is an opener isn't he? I'd rather him open then Warner in FC, Warner should stick to the middle order.

Roher is a form batsmen.

Chose Forrest over Rohrer to please PEWS tbh.

Henriques is one of the 'chosen' ones, having said that I think this year will be his year to shine.

My NSW lineup during tests....

1. Jaques
2. Khawaja
3. Forrest/Rohrer
4. Warner/Forrest/Rohrer
5. Thornley
6. Watson/Hendriques
7. Crostiwaite
8. Casson
9. Bracken
10. ****ley
11. Bollinger

Still unsure whether Watson will play tests. \_/ about Crostiwaite not getting a contract, he's still better than Smith and Nevill.

During ODI's....
1. Jaques
2. Hughes
3. Katich
4. Forrest/Rohrer/Khawaja/Warner
5. Thornley
6. Who knows?
7. Crostiwaite
8. Casson
9. Clark/Cameron
10. ****ley
11. Bollinger/Cameron/Bird

Think Moey will get an ODI call-up this summer and Bollinger & Clark are uncertainties for ODI's. Ditto Warner. Don't see Katich & Hughes making the ODI side.

Agree that Warner should open, technically he seems decent enough to handle the new ball, and his explosive style of batting would go well at the top of the order, if he does well for NSW, then he could be an option in future for Australia in test cricket.

I'm pretty sure Bollinger would be a part of the Aussie ODI side, he was good in UAE, and was excellent for Aus A too, also expecting Hughes to make his ODI debut this summer in Australia.

Xavier Doherty in the AUS T20 team?

Well given the importance spin has in T20s & given AUS lack a depth in this area, for those who have seen Doherty. Anyone thinks he would make sense in this format?

His spin bowling partner in Tasmania; Jason Krejza would make far greater sense as an international T20 bowler. Was the standout spin bowler during the 2009 Big Bash, and is the style of spin bowler who has proven to be a success at this level. Krejza will also give more with the bat too.

Doherty may well make it one day. Has been on the circuit for so many years now, but is improving season on season.

Doherty is bit like Michael Clarke with the ball, but a bit more accurate then him, he has had pretty decent OD seasons in the last couple of years, and I believe he and Aaron Heal are probably the two best OD spin bowlers in Australia atm after Hauritz.

Krezja too can be looked upon as an an option for OD games, he can a be an all-round option, but he has to work a bit on his OD bowling, has the tendency to give away too many runs, and that not acceptable in OD games.

Dan Cullen is another bloke who I think was a pretty decent OD spinner, but he has gone a bit off the radar in the last season or two.

I'd like to bring in a rule that players have to play at least 10 FC games before there can be murmerings about their test prospects. To break that rule results in a seven day ban.

There's nothing remotely controversial about saying that if someone plays well enough in the first-class game he'd be considered for higher honours in the future. Warner is obviously on the national radar, and therefore I don't see why anybody would be criticised for being excited about his prospects.

We've done the same with Mitch Marsh, Moises Henriques and others in recent times, and countless others in the past.

Brakken hasn't done anything of note in 4 day cricket, of late,if anything he is usually injured, can't handle the 4 day stuff anymore.
****ley big season last year, cameron the year before, bollinger been on song for 3 years, those guys take bags, brakken doesn't he ties up an end and does a spinners job.
Would like to look at the under aussie spinner liam whathisname, casson had an awful season.
We may have clark at the start of the season, one dayers, maybe the full year looking at the selectors.
Warner to open no.
Like warner and khawajah more effective down the order, forrst vs mail for the opening spot.

Not thrilled about him opening but there's nothing wrong with suggesting it. Was more concerned about the parallels drawn between getting a baggy blue cap and the subsequent baggy green.

Ok, well yea i like Krejza for the T20 team also ahead of Hauritz, since i think Krejza style sutis T20s more as wicket-taking option slightly. Maybe having Doherty's left-arm variety could be very useful.

Looking ahead of future T20s & the WC next year, still is a potential set-up i like.

Marsh
Watson
Ponting
Hodge
White
D Hussey
Haddin
Krejza/Hauritz
Johnson
Nannes
Tait

Siddle/Hilfenhaus/Lee, Warner , Doherty, Henriques

Sidvicious/Hifly/Bing - Cant split them ATS.

I strongly believe Hilfy would make a top T20 bowler, given his ability to swing the ball & get the the yorker in.

Sidvicous could be hard bowler to slog given his back-of-lenght type bowling.

While Bing although he got tonked recently has generally has feared well in T20s. I just worry now that in the coming months he could very well & lose pace, thus his tendancy to bowl crap @ the death could be criminally exposed in T20s.
