Usually starts round this time.
Qld and vics almost certain shield finalists, tas vic final tomorrow, future cup games end this coming week.
Anyway start the ball running tom moody resigned, micky arther and dean jones put up hands for the job, bennett king and john dyson linked too.
Reckon warner will move interestate not in shield team, bats 7 in one dayers,no cricket australia contract, probably on a lower tier nsw contract.
NSW and qld have too many quicks to sign,sa annd wa and maybe vics in the hunt.
Few retirements maybe jewell,deighton,mcgain,marsh,harwood,wright,denton?
Brakken may be on the look out for a new team, doubt he will make the 4 day side, will be unimpressed his season cut short and missing the last 4 dayers.+think ****ley and clark back soon.
Anyway blah blah blah.
Tip nsw to cut casson with smith o'keefe, liam doran and darren burns, and wa to welcome him back with open arms.
8-)phew that was a lot.
Jewell won't retire surely? And Mash (wouldn't be Marsh for obvious reasons) is still pretty young ITBT.

Others could happen however.

If Bracken leaves NSW, their management is ****ed, surely.

Jewell thought about retirement after the shield final last year.
Marsh is 36 same as sachin not as talented.
Brakken well he can't get a game in the 4 day side(not a surprise i sugggested as much earlier this season).like noffke was could be picked up by another state even WA.
Ian chappell said warner should be opening.

Jewell might, but I'm won't count on it. Didn't realise that you were referring to Dan Marsh. :p

I'd be surprised if NSW cut O'Keefe, hes played himself into a bit of form lately as I understand it.

NSW won't cut o'keefe in fact may get a national call up,definitely hiigher tier nsw contract.
Casson tho the sack.
Cullen the sack, even his club scores sucked.

Queensland might be on the look for a batsmen, however they tend to want to develop homegrown talent, unless someone (like Harris) wants to move North.
They've got Jason Floros waiting in the wings, might want to give him a chance before poaching someone from interstate.

Davie warner may get called up in the one dayers, his asking rate may well rise.
Yes floros a good prospect don't see qld chasing bats, just a spinner.

Langer considered favourite for the job, steve rixon interested.
The age has suggested the vics should nick back travis birt.

Well done to Tasmania. Completely outplayed the Bushrangers. Don't mind Denton being the one to tear us apart, one of my favourites when playing well.

This loss didn't hurt as much as last year when Victoria self-destructed in the chase. Tasmania just too good tonight.

Well batting is really the weakness of the QLD side at the moment. We're missing a big name or two if we want to win the big bash or the ODD comp. It would help a lot in the shield as well.

Denton to julian was being coy on fox and said it depended on tassies' plans for him, shot down 1 rumour, ridegway:laugh:
Warner would walk into all 3 qld teams,he wouldn't make the vics or sa first class side, and not the sa one day side.Callum ferguson back next season, which will lift sa.
What will help nsw is if warner gets a cricket australia contract, maybe nsw should drop thornley for warner in the nsw side.

Whats that like 4 losses in a row in the final for victoria?

Mark Cleary is set to make a welcome return to the bowling line-up. Daniel Christian will return from Australian duties (flying direct to Brisbane) and Graham Manou will also resume Shield duties.

The Redbacks will need to secure an outright win against the Bulls to keep their finals hopes alive.

The team will be on the road for the remaining fortnight of the domestic season and this will therefore be the local media’s last opportunity to secure footage and interviews.

Confident we can win this match. Good to see where playing at the GABBA which is usually a green top and a result wicket. Great to see Cleary back, he will be good for George having a decent opening bowler from the other end.

Putland to be 12th man.
