West End Redbacks v RTA Speedblitz Blues
19-22 February 2010, Adelaide Oval
Daniel Harris (captain)
Cullen Bailey
Cameron Borgas
Mark Cosgrove
Peter George
Jake Haberfield
Michael Klinger
Tim Ludeman
Aaron O'Brien
Gary Putland
James Smith
Kane Richardson

In: Cullen Bailey, Mark Cosgrove
Out: Daniel Christian (national duties), Tom Cooper

Christian out, Manou still injured..Top cat will be happy and also Cossie back from injury :).

Cullen Bailey will play because its Adelaide and his batting ability will help the site, Richardson will be 12th man. Think the Redbacks have a good chance of winning this very important game..hoping George can bowl well..pitch better not be a slow and flat.

Mark Cleary played well in his futures league game, expect him to be in the team for next game.
****ing awesome.

Love the bowling line-up, tbh.

Rumour was around for a little while. Frees him up to head straight over to the IPL instead of playing in a Shield Final.

Bailey to take one of his random five wicket hauls.

Cricinfo couldn't miss a "Forrest fires" pun either.

Pathetic effort from the Redbacks really..awful bowling from all the bowlers..George was alright but even he bowled to wide. Hughes just hit all that wide crap to the boundary every time, Forrest did well to.

Putland should be replaced by Cleary ASAP and Tait should be puting his hand up?, really missed Christian's bowling tbh..Haberfield hasn't taken a big haul this season either..dissapointing :(.

Need to bat well.

So does Phil Hughes tbh.
Should perhaps have said 'love' the bowling line-up. Absolutely no idea what Bailey is doing there. He's virtually a batting allrounder these days, shouldn't be picked as one of the main 4 bowlers, tbh. But yeah, not a great day with the ball......

And as far as I'm aware, Tait's still not in line for 4-day selection. Cleary is surely injured.

Nah Cleary is back for sure, been playing for Kensington and his futures league game for SA which finished on wednesday or thursday and he took 8 wickets in that match I think, he should be in the team next game for sure otherwise I'll be angry..the selectors might just want to play himself back in from his injury or something.

Adelaide oval isn't even really a home game advantage for us, might be good that Les Burdett retires IMO..should make green tops.

Not a huge believer in home game advantage at Shield level. Especially when it comes to pitch conditions. Don't think any of the Shield teams gain a huge advantage from home pitch conditions.

The only reason teams play better at home is due to familiarity and lack of travel required. Turning the South Australian pitch into a greentop will only nullify the one major asset South Australia has in Klinger.

Question, how do you turn the Adelaide Oval into a green top? It's 37 degrees in Adelaide today. Flat, slightly turning wickets is what they do best given the conditions.

Haha, no chance. I've seen maybe two greentops ever at Adelaide and they needed about a week and a half of rain and freakishly humid weather in the lead-up. Have never seen one in a 4 or 5 day game, either. Even if there's some movement around on day 1, the weather kills it dead by day 2. Some clouds would be nice!

As for Cleary, had no idea he'd played, haven't kept up. Hoping he's back ASAP. Wishing he was for this game, tbh.
