FMD, why the hell do you give cutting 4 overs, but leave it so Rimmington only gets 3. Stupid stupid stupid move

Carn Vics.

How  was the finish to that match with Hussey skying it and no one going to catch it.

Quite fitting that Hopes/Simpson blunder the final chance. Cutting & Hopes have career T20 eco rates of 9.6 and 8.7 respectively, yet Simpson gives them BOTH more overs than Rimmington, who averages 15, and only goes for 7rpo, stupid stupid stupid stupid move.

I'm so frigging sick of Dave Hussey making runs every time I go and watch QLD vs VIC at the Gabba. He must have a 100 average against us there in all forms of the game.

Watching it live, Simpson's captaincy was absolutely terrible. Bringing himself on was the turning point in the game and meant that better bowlers missed their opportunity. He has the captaincy, he doesn't need to try and prove himself in an important game FFS.

Also, catches win matches. Too many close chances went begging for QLD tonight. Was a very frustrating game, and shows again why QLD should have invested in an overseas batsman instead of Roach/Vettori (not that Vettori was bad at all, but a batsman would have helped MUCH more).

Hopes will cop a lot of criticism for his role with the bat, but he can hardly help that he had to steady the ship at 5/55. I'd much rather his 70 strike rate in a defendable total of 150 than be all out for 110.

PM's XI side has been named for the game in a couple of weeks

Matthew Hayden (captain), George Bailey (Tasmania), Tom Cooper (South Australia), Travis Birt (Tasmania), Mitchell Marsh (Western Australia), Tim Paine (Tasmania), Jon Holland (Victoria), Ben Oakley (ACT), James Pattinson (Victoria), John Hastings (Victoria), Peter George (South Australia), Jordan McLennan (ACT, 12th man) .

Stoked for Ben Oakley to have made it, reckon he might take a few wickets as he's a geuinely fast bowler, hope hes given the new ball.

So excited Victoria made the final, important that we won this game without a contribution from Bravo (injured) and Tayler (did zilch).

Thought the game last night was one of the more average games of the competition so far. Fielding by Queensland not up to scratch, the better bowlers hardly getting a bowl and James Hopes batting through an entire innings and not making fifty.

Highlight for sure the batting of Dunk, been very impressive throughout the big bash.

The game didn't seem to have the same hype as the rest of the competition for mine, which is odd considering a spot in the CL was on the line. Just didn't seem like a massive invovlement from the crowd or much of a spectacle etc...

Cause I wasn't there IMO.

No, I really think the awesome win on the Friday night against WA took it out of the QLD side.

We really needed Symonds to step up, I probably wouldn't pick him next year, QLD have a heap of young cricketers who are more committed and worthy of a spot.

When Hartley comes back, Dunk has to stay in the side, he should probably open! Also there is Ryan Broad to come back next season, he's not super aggressive but, would be better than Glen The Bat.

Being a Tuesday night with barely 3 days notice probably had something to do with it.

Also, when we collapsed to 5/55 the QLD fans didn't really find much to get behind.

Still, truth be told, it was the captaincy and fielding that let us down in the Victorian innings. Oh and David Hussey, the Brisbane Brutaliser.

Twenty20 games should not be on Tuesdays, Thursdays or Saturdays. You cut of anyone who plays cricket from getting there!
