***Official*** Australian Domestic Season 2010/11

Over 17.1: Sayers to Cowan, two runs, good inswinger, worked away behind square leg, they run two and predictably the throw comes to the bowlers end to try and catch out Cosgrove

Putland has figures of 3/13 at the moment. Bowling huge inswingers to the right handers, looking good.

Tas choking at 6/78. Has to be just good pressure bowling, it's a beautiful day for cricket. Putland and Lyon the destroyers.

Very much looking forward to going along tomorrow now!

So is the SCG a road or have WA just played really, really well?

Also, it's good to see a Gabba greentop favour the home side for a change.
WA lost 6 for bugger all today, and NSW just rolicking along at tea time.

EDIT: great to see Victoria getting nutted too.

I'm very happy with the scores all round now.

I was very surprised to see WA fall short of 400. Would have thought that they were pushing for 450 or 500 based on their score overnight.

Really excited about Lynn as a prospect. Seems to make runs when noone else can.

Unfortunately I think it's clear now that Hilfy will not make it to Sri Lanka. It's sad because he's such an awesome bloke, but surely Copeland should get a chance.

I hear Hilfenhaus swings the ball though, so he should be first choice imo.

Thank you Lynn for making runs. Someone needs to. Warner aswell.

Cricinfo article I read quotes Manou as saying he feels like he's playing well and wants to play on. Some smelly stuff going on at SACA. Manou's been contributing with the bat and is still doing the job with the gloves so if he's not retiring, why is Berry possibly bringing Crosswaite with him?

Not sure how this will pan out, Manou has traditionally had a lot of friends at SACA but maybe things have changed? That he didn't fill in as captain when Klinger was injured was a bit off.

If Berry is involved, I think that Crosthwaite will be there. IMO, Berry thinks he's a Shield player, and a very good cricketer. However, the thing that most will overlook is that Berry, when he first got involved in coaching at Carlton CC, went and got one keeper - T. Ludeman. I wouldn't be surprised if he was given the golden chalice, and provided the opportunity to take the role and run with it, with Crosthwaite in the background just in case.

In the end, what really will keeping Manou under a Berry-run regime achieve?

Haha, it's SACA mate, not about what's right/logical.

Let it be known I'm no fan of Manou, just have to read my posts around the time he elbowed Deitz aside and was given top6-4-lyfe. He's absolutely been the golden boy for many years (potential Test player, etc.) and has many friends in the heirarchy so I'll not have a lot of sympathy if that has come to an end..

And that is one reason why Berry's in for a fight if he has plans to change the natural order of things overnight. Another is that the same old ****s who are fans of Manou are the same old ****s who were around and would remember the circumstances under which Berry left here years ago and I wouldn't think they'd be above some old-skool pettiness under the guise of protecting one of the few sa-born players left in the team.

I like Ludeman, though, so if he's the annointed one, nothing but good can come of it I think and SA cricket does need a good purge. Problem is, that needs to happen in the boardroom too.
