***Official*** Australian Domestic Season 2010/11

Noble One

International Vice-Captain
From what I watched, Casson deserved his wickets. A real nice comeback for someone who looked lost in cricketing yips land.

Siddle the only bright spot for Victoria. The only bowler taking wickets and the only batsman not throwing his wicket away. Terrible performance from Victoria against a very undermanned NSW side.

Felt though that the pressure that Victoria were under meant his bad deliveries weren't always put away.

And he still went for 4rpo and didn't dismiss a top-5 batsman. I missed pretty much all of yesterday's play so I didn't see him bowl but I wouldn't be getting too excited. Definitely promising signs though - there's no way he'd have been able to take 4/60 under any circumstances if he sent down the stuff he was dishing up back when he was dropped.

Tbf, job is to take wickets and he's unlikely ever to be particularly economical given his style of bowling

Anyway, just goes to show what can happen when you have a guy like Copeland tying up one end

Oz spinners have been severely handicapped because our test pacemen couldnt do a similar job

Two tons in the match for Jaques. Great to see him back.
Would love to see him roll off a couple more before the end of the season as a guy with his record AND in form surely has to be a better option than the Norths etc of this world

Lets be honest, I'd rather bowl with two arms at once than try and bowl left arm wrist spin at a high level. The margin for error is smaller than Wayne Holdsworth's time being coached by Geoff Lawson (I can explain to you why later). Seriously, you're bowling wrist spin and if you bugger up, you pull it down so that someone can pull you for six. Casson can bowl, he's just doing it the hardest way.

Decent first spell in FC cricket for Kane Richardson, quite a few changes to the Redbacks line-up but still a batter short one feels.
