Moises is a better batsman than anyone in that NSW 2nd XI team. He will really come into his own in the next 2 seasons with both bat and ball.
Potential yes, but right now there a few batsmen in the 2nd XI that have more runs on the board right now. He not ready to bat in the top 4 yet, especially with little experience around him. Fair enough if it was at 4 with Jaques at top, Katich at 3 and Thornley at 5.

I have no idea what those abbreviations mean.
Haha yeah, sorry. I forget that new members don't automatically just pick up on these things. :p

Oh well, you have to learn some time I guess. Refer to gettingbetter's post.

I've seen a few forums now but have never come across such diverse yet ridiculas abbreviations like what I have seen here.

Vic's 2/352, with like an over left in the day.

Good to see Hodge 100*, well done to Jewell aswell for his 164!

Just got back from the ground, pitch is an absolute road. Slightest mistake was punished, especially the full balls. Jewell batted really well but Hodge looked like he barely raised a sweat, some very, very sweet cover drives and late cuts. Looks in good nick.

Bowling was as good as one could hope for, Tait was pretty listless. Rofe bowled quite well, though.

Awesome thanks for that. How did Cullen look today? Were you surprised that Wise didn't get a game perhaps in front of Cleary? I hope it wasn't only because Cleary can bat a bit.

Some good performances from players I rate who are close to the Aussie lineup - Hodge, Magoffin, Noffke and Hilfenhaus.

I dunno why, to be honest. Might ask around, see if Wise is injured. Because, why would you pay money for import someone from another state only to not pick them?

Dan Cullen was a bit ordinary. Either too wide and full or too short. Jewell played him off the back-foot mostly. Aaron O'Brien wasn't much different. In fairness, as I said, the pitch is just so good to bat on.

It's irrelevant to think in those terms - once you've bought the guy he's a sunk cost. Form and fitness should be all that matter. Besides, he could have been imported as a depth player.

I doubt it with Wise. He was a starter with Vic (when fit) and with SA's pace bowling stocks so low, I assumed he was picked as a starter. So I assumed he's injured because I haven't seen him in the grade results yet and it's not as if Cleary has been dominating.

EDIT: I'm sorry, did you just mention SA and 'depth'?

Wise wasn't in Victoria's 1st XI when he left, that's why he went to SA.

Probably feel as though they can't hide both Rofe and Wise in the field, and that the difference between Cleary and Wise with the ball is negligible.

You're right - was thinking of the season before for some reason....

Strange decision if so. The difference between Rofe and Cleary is negligible too but at least Wise offers up a leftie angle which would obviously help Dan Cullen. Wonder why they didn't go for Wise and Cleary? Without checking it out, I don't recall Rofe having a barn-storming start to the season.

Appears quite a daunting prospect tomorrow for Tait and co. with Hodge not out on 100 and David Hussey just coming to the crease. It could be another day of chasing the leather around if the pitch continues to be as good as you say for batting.

Cosgrove turning out for the SA 2nd XI. Big fall from grace for the big guy.
Cosgrove and the SACA aren't on the same wavelength with this. I reckon Cosgrove is under the impression that as long as he's scoring runs it doesn't matter how big he is, where the problem then becomes his commitment to do what he is asked and what would help him fulfill his potential as a player. It just makes him look like a git.

Any opinions on where Cosgrove might seek to resume his career?
