And last too. Averaged 50+ I think? Vastly under-rated player with the bat but I notice he does less bowling these days too.
Played the first half of the season pretty much as a batsman, after recovery issues from shoulder surgery in the off-season. Has been bowling since about a week before Christmas, IIRC.

Excellent bowling figures from McGain and Siddle, really having great seasons these two blokes. Hodge and White should take Victoria over the line from here.

Hodge's innings was all class as expected, but I rated White's innings tonight as far better because he REALLY struggled to find the middle early on and had to battle through a few periods of continually creaming the ball straight to fielders, which a lot of bastmen would end up getting frustrated with and playing an "out" shot. Instead, White gets himself going with a HUGE six about 5 rows back to the midwicket boundary.

Really great innings. Now that I've seen White live a few times I have no doubt he is one of the hardest and biggest hitters in the country; if not world cricket.

good to see the skip getting some runs..as he's sorta struggled after the injury.. :)
now with him firing we'll be very hard to beat

Need our first string bowlers as well to be 100% unbeatable. Nannes & Denton at least.

Gets far too many mentions on the "Who is the ****test bloke in Sydney grade cricket" facebook group to be a legitimate candidate, for mine.
LOL, funniest thing I've read in so long. Apart from all the Gordon hate, though expected.

Best out of an awesome lot though was Michael puting Nicho in his XI.

Carlseldine should be picked for the pura cup with hopes no chance and watson injured.Give him a chance to play for a contract, and its not as if qld batters are turning it on.I could drop all six batsmen on their present form, except maybe moller who hasn't had much of a chance.

On paper at least, that looks like our best batting lineup in quite some time.

Curtains for Perren, I would say.
