this south african batting is as pathetic as the indian lineup (especially away from home), isn't it? was fairly certain australia would win but thought this series would be a little more competitive...

Seen him do it more than a few times with the new rock

Doesn't help that he usually bowls first change
My memory of that is very different, I can think of about once or twice, but generally I recall him bowling pretty much the same length as he usually does most of the time he gets the new ball in Tests

Used to bowl a big outswinger when he was younger and his bowling action was considerably more back-killing though

all of the hemming and hawing about how rat****ed australia's bowlers might be for sydney ignored the fact that seth effrika's mickey mouse batting lineup would struggle to survive against pavel florin let alone the cumster and friends lol

i figured they might be using starc as a decoy when his first ball clocked in at around 137 (still fast though slower than 145) and just have him come in line and length etc, to help to ameliorate the load on cummins and boland but he's worked into the spell nicely

Can we talk about how bad Elgar is away? Doesn't average over 32 anywhere away (excluding minnows). At least Warner cashes in on featherbeds occasionally. Elgar doesn't have *one* series of note away. His away record is worse than random journeymen like Murali Vijay and Taufeeq Umar. He's made it this far purely based on looking #gritty. Absolute bottom tier HTB.

Disjointed thoughts - So is SAF batting worse than WI batting?
That would be a new low for SAF cricket if true!
Strange that D Elgar has a better avg than K Braithwaite.

can only say 100% after this innings, if they lose to australia with their best 2 bowlers(for this test) down.
