Yep unfortunately good old British summer looks like it is going to make a come back after not being around for a few weeks, anoying as I was looking forward to it, hope to get to one of the days though.

Nooooooo! It better not rain.

Love the move of Clarke to 4 and Huss at 5. I think Paine should bat at 7 and Smith at 8. Smith will be able to handle batting with the tail more so than Paine IMO.

Praying for a wash-out today as I have tickets for Friday. I'm feeling very nervous about Pakistan's ability to hold on so I see a full day. Come on Pakistan.

toss in 5 minutes

11.25 Right quit all your moaning we have good news. Play will start at 12.00pm. Huzzah! There will be a toss in about five minutes.

From my sources, the pitch and outfield are dry, the delay is for bad light.
The outfield has been soaking wet, they tried driving around with a brush attached to the back of this vehicle, but surely that has just just re-distributed the water elsewhere on the ground. Seemingly if the rain was heavier the drainage system they have in place would have no problem with it going through the turf and the water being taken away, however, with this light rain it has simply sat on top of the grass. So the explanation goes.

But, the toss coming up very soon, and play due to start in a little under half an hour.

Quite ironic, that the rain needed to be heavier for the ground to be drier.

Oh, and we'll have a bat. Not that that was a shock either way.

Pakistan win the toss and bowl. Can see an Aussie top-order collapse here, ala Sydney.

Pakistan win the toss are going to attempt to make the most of the overhead conditions and have a bowl. Asif and Aamer presumably with the new ball to test out Watson and Katich. Looking forward to this.

Surprised Shoaib Malik has been left out and that Pakistan have opted for both Azhar Ali and Umar Amin.
