Why doesn't Waugh bowl anymore? He's only 11 wickets off 100 test wickets and time is rapidly running out for him to reach that! Actually...I've never seen him bowl...
That's because he rarely bowls anymore. Too many knee, hamstring and back issues. When he first entered the Aussie side, he was sometimes genuinely fast but soon reverted to medium-fast pace.

Australia is thinking of fielding five specialist bowlers for the second test due to the prospect of heat exhaustion affecting the bowlers.

Mark Waugh is likely to be dropped if that happens.
Totally agree. Who else would you drop?

I dunno, I doubt they'd pick Nathan Hauritz with the series still on the line, though. He's good enough but I reckon the Aussie selectors are pretty conservative so I think they'll just bring in Bichel. If Waugh fails again in this Test, it'll be curtains for him I think.

I heard that Hauritz will be coming in...

I hope so, as i think he could really help warnie...

Bit of a change so that the pakis don't get used to playin the leggies...

I would like to see him come in...

Never heard of Huritz b/f, wonder if he's good?

From what i have heard, the wkt is gonna take turn, Aussies will be better off with two spinners then.

Hauritz is definatley suited more to the OD game but i think he will do well in the longer version of the game..

He is young and has a big future in front of him...

i saw hauritz playing in some of the ING games last year( and was impressed), only ever went for 3 an over, haven't seen him in FC (cause its not teleasted) but his stats still look pretty good

I must say I can't see that happening - Gilly pushed up to 6 weakens the batting a fair bit, and they're one up in the series.

I reckon it'll be the same team with Bichel for Gillespie.

Absoultely Pathetic

Im very dissapointed with this Pakistani lineup. They are a talented bunch, but nobody wants to justify their talent at all. It isn't a venemous pitch and just Watching it on TV now, and they are playing the worst cricket I have ever seen from Pakistan. 9/50 Good god its all over!

Whats worse is that its around 33-35 degrees celsius, with around 80% humidity so the Pakistani bowlers will be tested to the core. One just hopes that Shoaib brings life back into this contest.

Really Really Pathetic and Poor

Bowled out for 59!

What a pity.... :(

Well to bad, people writing off the Australian Jugganaut when they were All Out for 100+, can get nicked.

With Australia 0-30 it could be all over by Day 1 - Tea!

Wait a sec, it already is!

M.E.Waugh LWB B Saqlain Mushtaq 2
S.R.Waugh C Sub (Farhat) B Saqlain Mustaq 0

Steve Waugh's scores in his last 3 innings are 31, 0 and 0 (first ball)

Mark Waugh's scores in his last 3 innings are 55, 0 (first ball) and 2

Steve Waugh's Test average has fallen from 50.00 at the beginning of the series to 49.38

Mark Waugh's has fallen to 41.91

Looks like Saqlain has ended the Waugh's Test Careers for them, before the Ashes have even started!

They should drop the Waughs before it gets pathetic. They should have quit while they were at their peak. But there is too much money in the highest level, so they kept on and play crap cricket for ****loads of money.

Theory:
My Australian 11

Hayden
Hussey
Langer
Ponting
Mott (or some other QLD'er)
Martyn
Gilchrist
McGill or Bichel or Williams
Warne
Gillespie (when fit)
McGrath

JUST A THEORY:frog:

Nooo Nooo!!! Let England hit them even further into trouble! Nothing better for a fast bowler like Jones or Harmison to take the wicket of one of those 2!!!
