One more weird thing about the four seamer attack last match, is that we gave our fifth seamer Daryl Mitchell a bowl surprisingly early. We almost never bowl Mitchell, even when he's fourth seamer. Arguably he should more often, though with four main seamers if you wanted someone to bowl 125km/h wobblers, you could get Southee to do it.

As much as Tim Southee has frustrated me on occasions over the years, he's always been consistent about how much playing tests for his country means for him. Gotta credit and respect him for that, especially seeing as he doesn't ever reveal much in interviews.
