still haven't seen a proper replay of it. i really wanted a closer look to see if dhoni broke the stumps with his gloves.Maxwell was looking so good against the spinners. Middling everything. So annoyed the way he got out grr. At least he justified his promotion to 3
Oz RR after 17 overs was 6.52, by the time 1st wicket was lost in the 32nd over was 6.06. By modern standards that I clear win for the fielding side. When you get 0/193 off 32-odd overs then the problem is not with the blokes who got 0/193.
He was only promoted to 3 because the openers batted most of the innings though right? Or was he always going to bat there?Maxwell was looking so good against the spinners. Middling everything. So annoyed the way he got out grr. At least he justified his promotion to 3
The side on view made it look definitely out. Nothing wrong with itstill haven't seen a proper replay of it. i really wanted a closer look to see if dhoni broke the stumps with his gloves.
Yeah Australia are kinda handicapped in this regard by how much bigger their grounds are than in England. It's hard to tell how good Lynn or Short are as they just look too sickly sweet icing for Australia. Whereas Darsh (unless he's in really gun form) looks like a stale cake in England.Oz may very well win this match, but that batting innings showed one of the reasons I dont think they can win the WC; their batting lineup is far too stodgy and limited by 2019 standards. Warner will help in that regard but I doubt Smith will.
Yeah I think you're right re the reason. But I honestly think Langer wouldn't have even allowed that to happen a few months ago. And since Finch was batting I assume it's Langers call to send in a pinch hitter? He was only promoted to 3 because the openers batted most of the innings though right? Or was he always going to bat there?
Will be interesting to see if Aus' openers knocks were as good as they look now, or if they scored too slowly and India chase this down
Finch returning to aggressive best is essential for Oz; think Stoinis aggressiveness is a bit overstated based on that big ton v NZ. Usually takes a while to get going and not particularly adept at maneuvering singles that you need between the boundaries.Still at least you have Warner, Finch, Maxwell and Stoinis who are rather aggressive. Don't quite think Carey's the answer though.
It was clean.still haven't seen a proper replay of it. i really wanted a closer look to see if dhoni broke the stumps with his gloves.
