Mister Wright

Cricket Web: All-Time Legend
He has only opened twice tbh, don't think he was ever being groomed for that position.

He averages 22.95 with the bat and 36.43 with the ball. Isn't everyone always saying that an all rounder should be able to make it into the team on one ability alone?
I don't mind Hopes as a player but have always wondered why he makes it on the ODI team.
Has done it successfully at domestic level for 2 or 3 years now, and was replacing Hayden when he was out. If that's not preparing someone for the role I don't know what is.

Fairly excited about tonight's game. 5-0 whitewash plus chance to go through a tour undefeated is pretty nice, even though the opposition haven't always been too crash hot (in the ODIs at least). Hopefully Marsh, D.Hussey and Ronchi can take full advantage of what might be their last opportunities for a short while.

The fifth ODI is underway. Australia have won the toss and are batting. I find it interesting that James Hopes is batting 8, so I guess we will have to get 10 overs out of him.

Has been doing it all series tbf.

Don't think I could like an opening pair more than these two, so glad that the Windies like chasing and I get to see them each time.

How do you figure? I think they wanted to keep much the same order as last game but didn't like M Hussey at three so bumped Ronchi up. Haven't heard any commentary though, just following on Cricinfo.

Probably wanted to give Ronchi a proper chance before Haddin comes back. Either that or they want to take advantge of the powerplays etc.
