from this i think it will be

Devon Smith
Parchment
Sarwan*
Chanderpaul
Morton
Bravo
Ramdin+
Sammy/Benn
Taylor
Powell
Edwards

Just saw Ryan Hinds profile - his record is pretty good..and Aussies aren't the best at SLA

IMO...

Devon Smith
Brenton Parchment
Ramnaresh Sarwan
Shivnarine Chanderpaul
Ryan Hinds
Dwayne Bravo
Denesh Ramdin
Darren Sammy
Jerome Taylor
Daren Powell
Fidel Edwards

My preference, given the lack of batting at the top, is for damage control:

Devon Smith
Brenton Parchment
Ramnaresh Sarwan
Shivnarine Chanderpaul
Ryan Hinds
Dwayne Bravo
Denesh Ramdin
Darren Sammy
Jerome Taylor
Amit Jaggernauth
Fidel Edwards

Not a team that will take 20 wickets, and a difficult debut for Jaggernauth (should have played against Sri Lanka!) but it bats as deep as that squad can, within reason.

Cricketer Of The Year
Amazing. Baugh 103*. Literally done NOTHING for Jamaica for the last couple of seasons, and then suddenly he remembers how to bat when the Aussies are about.

283-8. Wallace on 21.
Its a conspiracy by the aussies to make him look good and get him in the Test side and make their job getting 20 wickets that much easier:ph34r:

have this feeling they'll go with Bravo at 7.. Ramdin at 8 ... 3 specialist bowlers (the 3 quicks Edwards Taylor and Powell)

Maybe I'm a bit out of the loop on WI batting but why would Chanders not bat at 3?
Because Sarwan just won a Man of the Series against Sri Lanka batting there, scoring 80, 72, 57, 102. He's scored 9 of his 10 centuries at three and 17 of his 29 half-centuries. A bit ironically, the only century that he has not scored at three is his only one against Australia. That was in the 418 run chase.

Thought it was stumps

0/89
now its stumps

flat track i recn

So the best thing for Aussies was MacGill picking up some wickets
would like Ponting and Symo to hit some runs especially

both teams going at a good rate

Johnson very expensive for his two wickets
Lee quite expensive too...even Clark by his standards was a bit expensive

Katich 13 overs 2/51...... probably taking turn and not much for the quicks... a sign for the pitches that will be played on in the tests perhaps
so Katich will definitely play now... with him being an option with the ball..and his batting style suited to these sort of pitches

DWTA.

Never liked MacGill, would have liked to see a young aussie get given the chance. How many years does MacGill have left in him do you reckon? 1/2?
Who gives a toss about his age, when it comes to Australian selection you give your best player the spot in the team, just because a player is 50 or 60 shouldn't change that. Not the old man's fault the younger spin bowlers can't bowl.

Plus he deserves 1 or two years as Australia's frontline spinner having to have to wait behind Warne for so long.

Not Terrible
Reckon Australia would be better off with Tait TBH. Yet if a spinning pitch is there, against a team like the WI you'd expect the tour would be perfect to blood a few younger guys. Concerning the age factor I just don't like MacGill, if it was an older guy I liked I'd feel the same as you mostly (besides the point that this tour of WI could be perfect for delevoping younger blokes).

Haha. Tait was 'retired' when the team was picked.

Wouldn't be too concerned about the bowling figures - Johnson, MacGill and Clark haven't bowled competitively in months and th emost Lee's done is a two over spell in the IPL.

Like good horses, they'll be better for the run I reckon.

Baugh eh? Though he'd dropped off the earth, so little had I heard of him lately. Good luck to him.
