Proactive captaincy :)
Sensible captaincy, certainly.

1. Take all pace off the ball - parallel was yesterday when the West Indies struggled in the afternoon. The wicket just got slower and lower.
2. Change bowlers as often as possible to keep the batsmen from settling.

hmm im not sure...this may have been a bit of a wake-up call for the Aussies..they were probably thinking that its home time soon & that they've already won the series but im sure they'll fire up for the final ODI.

I doubt also that Australia would like the fact that just after they set a new record of 21 straight wins that they'd like to go on a losing streak aswell so the final ODI should be a good match despite the series already lost. Because the Windies will view it as a chance to make the series look more even at 4-3 and Australia will be wanting to get out of this little hole so its by no means a dead rubber.

Is it me or did they choke when they should've won that game?
I'm not sure they exactly choked (I think if the result had been reversed we may well have been arguing whether the Windies did) but it was a quite 'un-Australian' performance.

Yes. The Aussie fielding wasn't exactly outstanding. Chinks in the armor?
"Didn't know the little devils played the game, Brigadier!"

(sorry, in one of those 'moods' today)

Ponting batted at 3 and ended with only 2 not out. Clearly it was a brilliant effort by the West Indies to restrict his scoring.....

(Oh yeh, did I mention that he retired hurt on 1 and returned for the final ball? ;) )

When he slog-swept that last ball, I thought he was going to hole out. That'd have been something - a hat-trick for Crystal.

I know there's plenty of opportunity for further twists and turns, but it's really looking like three in a row.

The duck's paying particular attention to this - hilarity could ensue in a few days.

Assuming that Crystal is Chris Gayle - yes. Hinds Man of the Series. I think he scored more than 100 runs more than anyone else and he only played 5 out 7 matches. Good effort.
