Does anyone else feel a strange attatchment to Cowan? His personality and struggles make him seem like an ordinary man thrown to the wolves, and now he's fighting to survive

Y no Afghanistan flag
It just adds to the romance of Cowan (Jager, 2012).

Ordinary first session from Australia. I really want to watch the Australian top order bat, but I'm tired and I need at least 3 hours sleep.

Steady Eddie's coming along nicely, surpassed everyone's sweepstakes bet bar my own... he doesn't seem like himself out there though, he's playing shots and everything :\

International Captain
WI should try spin from both ends here or maybe give Sammy a few overs, not much for the seamers in the pitch

Ah as I type that Sammy's on.

Watto used to be one of my favourite players - hugely talented, unlucky, unappreciated yet seemingly destined for greater things

However, given his predelection for wasting talent, I've changed allegiances to ..........

Ed Cowan - moderately talented, not especially unlucky, unappreciated and seemingly destined for greater things as a writer than cricketer

I would suggest Australia are going to have a lot of batsmen run out when they win The Ashes silver medal next year, but I reckon England will almost unerringly miss the stumps just as the West Indies have.
