Yes we're very hopeful that we could have a superstar on our hands, and your suggestion about him spending some time with Murali would be fantastic!!, before this series started he was devastating for Trinidad in the four day games, took 31 wickets in three matches!!.. , he'd be a sure pick for the Test team but the damn IPL is confusing things!! ,

Word is he hasn't made his mind up yet whether to go and play but the more he performs the more pressure the WICB are coming under to make sure he plays for the Test team asap.

Johnson Charles has an average of 19 in first class cricket.

But he is middling it better than Warner and the rest of the Aussies, maybe not as good as Hussey though.

Yes I would say that Charles, even with 36* has probably done enough to ensure that if Gayle does come back, it won't be for him. Powell averages 34 in FC (and has a Test best of 81) but only 19 in List A. Seems to be a square peg in a round hole.
