Holy crap, they won!

Damn cricinfo went down for me, and my son chose that moment to throw up...

I still can't believe it - how were the LBW calls? Dodgy, or good?

Great work, Aussies. Perfect springboard for Ponting as captain.

Gillespie gets a wicket and the captain takes him off. Warne coming on.

One has to ask why on earth they took the new ball, if they were going to use Warne after six overs anyway.

....... and now you know.

the sri lankan tail is absolutely useless....to not be able to bat out those few overs at home is ridiculous and vaas certainly showed what an absolute dud he is with the bat

Well Ponting should be happy with that. The Lankans must know that they didn't lose this series by much (despite being white-washed). I think it bodes well for Ponting's captaincy that:
1) He white-washed a team who are no easy-beats in their backyard.
2) He did it despite being under the hammer at some stage in all 3 tests. Well done Punter!

Thank goodness Brett Lee went home injured, I dread to think what Jayasurya would have done to him, had he been bowling his half trackers. Kasprowicz should take alot of credit for the series victory, he has toiled hard and taken a fair amount of wickets, and had a fair few dropped as well.

For example, the catch he snaked from Warney at first slip and duly dropped!

Yeah I agree Brett Lee should play state cricket untill he actualy get's some figures to justifiy his selection in Tests.

Kaspa has been very good.

Well done Australia, but Sri Lanka have blown it big time.

Tillerakaratne's day's as captain could be numbered considered how many times his team got in a psoition to ram home the advantage but set about letting Australia off the hook or their batsmen went AWOL.

Samaraweera and Jayawardene seem to me have overly inflated averages to me as the ydidnt justify them.

It seemed to be the case Sri Lanka didnt seem they werent keen on victory or really want to push Australia.

It has been revealed that Lee has been playing with a fractured ankle.

Whoops, that should have read "TTP", rather than "TKP"... (I'm sure it would have provided hours of confusion trying to work out the acronym.) One too many Carlton Colds today.
You must have had more than one too many :P.

'K' is nowhere near 'T' on keyboard :O

I must confess to spending a couple of minutes trying to think what it meant. :saint:

Heh, actually, it was because, for some unknown reason, I was fixated on TaKing the Pi$$, rather than Taking The Pi$$. But it was probably more than one too many anyhow. :)

haha im sure he would have duly taken him apart after Brett Lee had broken a couple more of his fingers ;)

he might also have been able to take better care of the sirlanka tail on a couple of occasions...

Full credit to Kaspa ofcourse, he has taken his opotunity and bowled very well and secured his spot for the next couple of series, hopefully alongside Gillespie and McGrath :)
