With Labuschagne it doesn't seem to matter which stat you use to say maybe his credit in the bank is all used up
- During 2025: 3 tests, 32 runs @ 8.00
- Last 12 months: 9 tests, 355 runs @ 23.66
- Since Ashes: 14 tests, 581 runs @ 25.16
- Last 20 tests: 976 runs @ 27.88
- Last 2 years: 24 tests, 1220 runs @ 29.75

Seems a bit of a new ball pitch, weirdly. Once the ball gets softer it gets easier to play. Same thing happened around this period yesterday for a while, though it is generally turning more today than yesterday

Seems to be a pitch that for periods of time like an hour it looks as docile as anything. Happened yesterday as well. Not necessarily all in relation to how new the ball was.

The more I watch the more the problem seems to be the bowling. Way too many freebies being offered up either to rotate strike or find the boundary. Smith and Carey are playing well, but they're not really being tested as much as they should be.

Basically at minnow levels in all formats bar t20
He's basically the Aussie Sachin or as close to it now. Don't think we will get another Aus player like this in my lifetime due to t20 degrading the quality of future players.
