tbh i think we've done ok out of this tour match. most of our top order with the exception of hughes and ponting have made some runs, and our bowling has done decent, if a bit expensive second time round.

And let's face it SA hasn't had any valuable longer form match practice so the Aussies go in much better prepared and should be outright favourites for the match.

that's what the players were saying too. commentary also suggested the pitch was doing some wacky things day 1, pre-lunch day 2.

looks like clarke decided he cbf'd batting with about 15 to get. the joys of being captain in a tour match.

Wouldn't be too worried about Copeland's figures this game. If you're a line bowler, once blokes get a look at you, the first thing they try to do is knock you off your line so there will be more expensive days ahead for him. Whether he's good enough to respond and keep taking wickets, we'll see.

That is gold. You would think Australia had got thrashed by an innings. The value of winning is just a *little* important you know Mr Barnes and Peterson. How's Smith, Amla, AB, and Duminy's FC form lately? Yeah thats what I thought, and we are underdone? Steyn was bowling medium pace in the one dayers FFS, and Morkel looked as bad as he always has vs Australia, innocuous but with loads of promise. Gotta love the SA press.
