See this is the problem with part timers (Hauritz, Hopes, Hussey etc) and using them as full timers is that they are massive pressure releases for the opposition and only perform when absolutely everything goes their way.

I don't really understand why Ponting took Hopes out of the attack after two overs and replaced him with Dussey. I would have thought Hopes would be a better option.

Also, has anything official been said on Clarke's back? It seems a bit worrying that he's still not bowling. It's been quite a while.

Some would say Pontings an idiot. Me? Pontings an imbecile.

Hmm... perhaps Ponting was right and Hopes isn't a good option today.

If SA use the powerplay and the death well here, they can get a good total. Bracken and Johnson only have five overs left between them, so they won't be able to deal with both.

um...no they were considerable favourites after Gibbs went. The longest odds of the match so far have been on SA but Australia are fast approaching.
Haha, what? Winning the toss virtually gifts the match to you if you get a half reasonable score at Cape Town. Massive advantage in batting first.

With so many wickets in hand, a powerplay and just 5 overs from Johnson and Bracken 260, 270 isn't an unreasonable target for SA. With so little grass on the pitch the dew factor may not be so big though.

Dew can sometimes be tough for the bowling team too. With VDM, SA has gone in with one less seamer. I wonder if they will regret this.

Hmmm, Kallis getting out a good thing at this stage for SA? He was going quite nicely but might be ideal for a big hitter to come in.

Duminy to the crease.

With the almost grassless surface there is expected to be less movement under lights.
