Grind. Last thing Aus would want is for SA to snatch a miracle win. If this match, by some other miracle, is a draw, at least SA would have to win to retain the trophy in the 3rd Test.
Yeah, agree with all of you guys on this but have a lingering worry that Ponting will leave it a fraction too late and someone plays a Kirsten like innings and helps them save it.

No point declaring anytime soon just because you're sick of beating upon the opponent.

The team should remember that it was only a couple of games ago that we were on the receiving end

Isn't it obvious?

You're 400+ runs ahead and there's 2 days and 20odd overs left - weather/bad light permitting.

God I can't wait for the day when Australia's fannying around arrogance comes backs to bite them in the arse. If you're going to keep giving the weather or exceptional batting a better chance to convert wins into draws then one day it will happen.
Is it possible the bowling was good in that short period?

Flaying about like idiots and getting rolled for 120 would have let SA in with a small chance. If it rains...it rains. There's not a hell of a lot you can do about it.

Now go back to telling kids there's no Christmas and stealing balloons off babies.

Fair ball from JP.

Another strange knock from Huss though, looks all at sea and doesn't seem to be able to hit the ball of the square.

Take the new ball! It will force the Aussies off the field unless they want to carry on batting of course but no point the South Africans still bowling if they don't have to.

Second worst day of test cricket since I've been following it.. The worst being when Donald broke down in Joburg six years ago and Gilchrist started smashing us everywhere.. Nothing more to add, although Huges looks to be a very exciting prospect

Prior definately has shown much better solidity since his return in India last winter.

He & AB as glovesmen is on par.
Aussie, how many byes has Prior given up this series? Have you been watching the Windies series?

AB kept decent/good in the Aussie ODI series. His only real blemish was not appealing when the batsman edged it.
