2-1 either way

hopefully no road-induced draws this year
Would take some effort (or rain) to get a pitch flat enough for a draw, looking at the sides bowling attack. That said last time they toured here there were 2 draws, although both had other factors that influenced it.

Roughly agree that it'll be 2-1. I'll say Australia 2-1, but really it's a toss-up.

I think SA might jag this. They know how to win here, their batting is at least as good as Australia's if not better, and their attack is far more seasoned and proven than Australia's. I know Starc had a great tour of SL and looks lke he's come of age, whilst Haze will always Haze, but they aren't anywhere as well proven as Steyn and Philander. If Australia is to win, the WPNCOS will have a big say, which is sad and not real cricket, but it will have to do.

Maybe, but if there's going to be a bit in the wickets Philander is every bit as capable of using it, if not more so. would agree with you if it's a road-a-thon but I think that would suit SA even more overall, as I really reckon they're a better batting side than Aus atm.

Your best work.

Is what I think they may run with. Voges will want to score heavy IMO as will the Whinge. If they don't I reckon one will make way for Darsh.

Not sure about the third quick. Didn't see how Siddle bowled in the ODD stuff. They might go for 120kph into the wind WACA specialist The Duke to get pongoed all over the shop. Maybe Bird. Dougeh's papers have been marked it seems.
Siddle bowled quite well and seems like he's picked up a yard so I don't think he's the man for the Freo Doctor. Has to be Hazlewood. That said, can't believe I'm saying this but in the event of an injury crisis, bus crash on the way to training or massacre of all 140kph quicks in Australia next week, based on what I saw in the ODers in Sydney, Copeland might fit that role too.

The selectors would have gotten a semi from Cummins' work, though, so they'll be keen to include the guy and get him while they've got him. What he's sending down, might be the one guy capable of deflating De Kock.

Not gonna deflate the De Kock, he is still young with lots of spunk....

Cummins apparently not being considered for any long form cricket this summer, according to reports.

Not only does SMarsh pull through injury wise - he is cementing his opening spot for the WACA test.

Burns/Khawaja fight off ?

I suppose MMarsh is another story but Henriques didn't nail the coffin and Stoinis isn't playing for the Vics.

Its not even up to question if Pattinson was actually fit
Pattinson has ruled himself out because he says he needs as close to a full shield season as possible. Takes some balls to say that when you know you have the ability to get straight back into the test team.
