Not Terrible
Yeah but then England, NZ and Australia could all have a NZ batting all rounder.Does Younis Khan make it to Australia's middle order ?

They can do it regardless of quotas! Quotas are an avg across the season and formats. Whether they will, who knows. Why drop Duminy over Cook? Maybe let Duminy finish his innings first?
We have a lot of players of colour on merit in our LO stuff already without having to push quotas...what happens if they do it though, find the new lay-out with 3-4 POC in the team happens to just be the winning formula so there is no point bring Duminy back ever again once he's gone.
would they then just tell a few whities they're retired from t20s, fill that team to the brim with POC and voila! hollow victory for equality
CW still waiting for an answer on thisHey Howe_Zat,
Do you think this game will go into Day 5?
Not prepared to put clothing on the line.Hey Howe_Zat,

It is ridiculous that at the end of the season someone is going to have to calculate the numbers of POCs and whites that have played for SA to meet this arbitrary target. We have a lot of players of colour on merit in our LO stuff already without having to push quotas...
Added: The problem comes in when we get injuries to those players..
Agree with all the above whole heartedly.... I just hate the mention of quotas every time a player is picked, I have heard it about Philander, Maharaj and Duminy in this thread. And Andile during the LO in SA before he proved himself. It is ridiculous that at the end of the season someone is going to have to calculate the numbers of POCs and whites that have played for SA to meet this arbitrary target.
The targets we should have should be related to how many nets have been built in disadvantaged areas, how many coaching sessions have been held in disadvantaged areas, how many deserving cricketers from poor backgrounds received bursaries to good cricket schools?
And while we're at it, let's get Radio 2000 to broadcast the cricket again. You can only follow this series if you have the most expensive DSTV package or can afford to buy mobile data.
I've been guilty of it myself unfortunately, really didn't think Temba shouldn't have been in the Test side but he's happily proven me wrong.Agree with all the above whole heartedly.... I miss the Radio 2000 commentry
