Pitch isn't as lively as before but I reckon the aussies will back themselves to run through the lower order if they can break through here

Well, after they can break through here, it will be the lower order of ABdV, FdP, TdB & QdK. Good luck running through that.

Let's get real here, Aus are well & truely on the back foot here.

It's generally what happens when the batsmen don't look in much trouble
Yeah tbf posting usually goes pretty quiet between a Smith 0-50 with the exception of the odd "we should try this tactic to Smith" or "how the **** do you get this guy out" comment.

Yeah something there for Lyon even if slow which is what you get in PE. Even the odd puff of dust.

Session South Africa, but Aus haven't let us get away either. Pitch a bit slow, so hard yakka for batsmen ito concentration.

Man who made one fifty plus score in his last 15 outings and yeah what a player De Bruyn is too. So intimidating

Just feel like the balls gonna reverse for Starc soon enough and there's barely 100 runs on the board. Run rate's usually
not an issue but right now it's no good imo.

That's not to say they haven't batted well ofc.

Think some of the grass needs to be baked away and the wind to dry the pitch, square and outfield out more for the abrasiveness of the conditions to bring massive reverse. Maybe from tomorrow or day 4 ?

Sounds about right. The grass isn't particularly green, but there is a fair bit of it and it's far from dead. I'm guessing it's not too humid either based on the clear skies (if you buy the humidity theory)

RSA do want to be accelerating a bit though. I like the way they made sure to survive the new ball, but these are the best batting conditions RSA will see this match.

There's quite gap between being "not very intimidating" & running through, don't you think?

I agree. Personally I think Elgar/Amla are fighting a few demons at the moment. PE can be tough to score at times but we do need a more positive mindset and that includes turning good balls into one's.

Saying that there is slight reverse here. Slightly more than KG got yesterday.
