Do you use public transport or do you just walk all over Singapore out of principle?
Poor analogy. That's implying Morkel and Lyon do the same job. They don't.

Not sure if you watch Brooklyn Nine Nine but Lyon is like The Vulture. Just swoops in at the last second when the job has been done and scavenges the remains.

Such a dumb fast bowler mentality. "Urgh urgh I run hard oog oog I throw ball fast eek eek I am strong i get wicket"

Should go back to flinging rocks at birds, seems a more appropriate past time for most fast bowlers. Just not keyed in at all to the subtle nuances of cricket.

I appreciate good spin bowling. Unfortunately finger spin rarely falls into that category by design. And when conditions are created such that the most boring and laziest form of bowling is rewarded disproportionately, it's doing the sport as a spectacle a disservice.

Like, imagine the mentality of a grown adult who still gets at the top of his mark and just wants to bowl as fast as bloody possible. It's a 5 year old who never grew up.

Philander is a quality fast bowler. Skill and nuance and genuine intellect behind his craft. Shame more fast bowlers aren't like him.

But the whole tribe shouts 'ugh ugh' in unison when the caveman knocks the dinosaur down with a rock. They shrug 'Meh' when the woman weaves a basket.

Now, what this game (actually, what the South African pusillanimity in this game) badly needs is rain, rain and more rain, bad light and more bad light.
Teach them a lesson; though it i would be a lesson that they probably would forget in a hurry.

They have not beaten Australia in a series at home since readmission. What SA did deserves applause. If rain washes it out they lose nothing and Australia gains nothing. A draw is a win for SA. I'm sore as an Aussie but happy as a test fan that a draw is actually a result.
