2 20 year olds who bowl 145k and swing it both ways.

2 blokes who last spun a ball when they still had uncovered pitches. The duality of Pakistan cricket.

Good signs from Shaheen.

Whatever it takes!!!
The ideal combo for Pak would have been to play only one of the uncles, pull in Shadab as the allrounder at 7 and have Naseem, Shaheen and Hasan as the seam attack. Fahim could have come in even for Hasan if they could get Yasir back as the leggie. But they have been forced to play both uncles AND bench their allrounder, not good signs so far for them, I am afraid.

Gotta say, Green has done a lot better on these pitches than I thought he would given that he had exactly 0 experience with them before and his technique didn't exactly look set up for them. Gotten out to silly errors so far rather than problems with technique or gameplan.

Wait til he gets to india and just hits their finger spinners back over their heads repeatedly like all finger spinners deserve

Carey has really added something to this side as far as these SC tours go. I guess Paine was always gonna retire after the Ashes so they had done this succession planning to an extent, but he is clearly an upgrade with the bat at least in these conditions.

I'm not surprised. Thought he handled the Indian spinners more comfortably than most of his team in the border gavaskar series. Different conditions of course yes.

Batting lineup is starting to come together really well. Uzzie is having an end of career resurgence, warner is past it but still averaging mid 30's, marnus is at his peak, smudge is still averaging low 40's, head is averaging 40, green is coming along well and carey is starting to find the middle.

Bit worrying that our next 2 batsmen in the squad are mitch marsh and harris though 0_0

he couldn't do that in home roads ffs
Green is a massive talent & the only things that will stop him from having an highly successful test career are injuries & headspace

BUT he’s not suddenly going to be launching Jadeja into the Ganges on a bunsen
